T
he small islands are surrounded by crystal clear waters where
the coraline bottom modifies it's colors; it is one of the
most exotic destinies of the Colombian Caribbean.
Cartagena
de Indias funded in 1533 by Don Pedro de Heredia, was the
most important comercial port of the Colony in the New World.
Declared it's independence from the Spanish Crown on November
11th of 1811, being known for this as the Heroic. Nowdays
it is a city that keeps almost intact all the architectural
richness from it's past for which it was declared Historical
and Cultural Heritage of Humankind in 1984 by the UNESCO.
